I understand. I am not sure if it is possible to boot OSX from grub. I liked yaboot better in that respect. But Debian decided to go this way.

So to be able to select whichever system I wan't I use 'option/alt' key - to enter multi boot selector in OpernFirmware.

All my OS Xs partitions (Tiger, Tiger Server, Leopard and Snow Leopard (early beta only for PPC)) are located on one HDD (/sda) the two Linux systems (MintPPC and Fienix) are on the second HDD (/sdb). As for now I haven't been able to add those from /sda to MintPCC's GRUB that is located on /sdb2 precisely, therefore my GRUB menu looks like this.

You have a lot of different partitions with lots of different versions of OSX, quite impressive. Can you boot them from Grub? Or do you use the command key at boot?

Attached screen as the proof - new ppc64 installation works perfectly. Browsers, sound and LMDE 6 look - everything is here!

I will soon try to cross compile Arcticfox, SeaLion snd Spidermail for ppc64 on my Intel laptop. I will add a new repo for this. I have lots of plans and ideas but not too much time.

Thanks for reporting! I still don’t have access to a G5, so you’ll have to wait. You can update/upgrade the system you have after installation with the liveUSB. You will end up with the latest MintPPC.

Adding to that, 32-bit installation won't work at all on my G5 (64-bit) - crashing soon after start to Open Firmware with invalid memory access error as attached.

I can confirm both - Debian 12 ppc64 netinstall works straight forward, but MintPPC live USB installation still much more stable and usefull, though quite old. This was checked as of today on my Power Mac G5 2,3 Dual (late 2005) - PowerMac11,2
