Is there a new installation procedures for putting in mint power PC Linux for the G4 Mac notebooks and Power Mac g5s? I tried to install following the instructions on the website and it keeps on giving me an error when it's trying to load the software. I'm not sure if Debian Linux has changed something in the repositories.
I will do an installation myself soon to see if something is broken.
I now understand why the installation fails. I will try to fix it for powerpc first.
I added a fix, which I can't test yet. If you want, you can try a MintPPC32 installation on your G4. Please tell me if it works, then I apply the fix for MintPPC64 too.
Just try to install it again on my PowerBook G4 and it still having the same problems as before.
Installation of MintPPC32 works, I encountered no problems. I used the 11-11-2025 iso by the way, but you can probably also use the april 1 image.

I tried MintPPC64 but its installation fails. I don't understand yet why this is happening.
@admin I tried the installation with the same version of Debian Linux. It did work. But for some reason the wireless did not work. Just to let you know when you do updates that come through the Debian Linux it causes the GUI to stop working.
@charles There should be a working firmware-b43-installer in the repo.

@admin I went to the link you posted and install the firmware-b43-installer file. While the file was installing a bunch of errors came up and it did not finish installing
