LMDE 7 Beta release

Linux Mint Debian Edition 7 Beta has been released and I am up to date with the changes. When a stable version is released, the arm64 version will follow suit soon thereafter. I will not give away this release for free anymore.

Upgrade from LMDE 6 goes smooth and without any issues. I just performed an upgrade from LMDE 6 to 7 within UTM. The result can be seen here.

  1. LMDE 7 has been released on all the mirrors across the world since October 7. Yesterday I did a last update on all the changed packages. I don’t expext any changes anymore, as the iso has been released. A live iso for LMDE 7 arm64 was built yesterday and uploaded. I am only waiting for the official announcement by the Linux Mint team. I guess they are still working on mintupgrade, to have a smooth transition from LMDE 6 to LMDE 7.
I have tested LMDE 7 and I must say that it works flawlessly. All programs which are available in the official LMDE 7 are also present in the arm64 version and some more ( I read that people were missing Synaptic and gdebi in the Beta release so I added them).
