As of today, users of MintPPC can install Minitube, a small standalone program to watch youtube videos without the need of flash. I built a 32 and 64 bits version of this program and they are in the wicknix and xeno74 repos. For more information about this program look here.

Installed Minitube to test, found that the search function not works with the following error:
QObject::connect(QWindow, SearchView): invalid nullptr parameter
Error “ReferenceError: fetch is not defined”
Error “undefined”
Error “undefined”
Error “undefined”
“No videos”
Error “undefined”
Thanks for testing.
MintPPC64 getting quite same errors.
QObject::connect(QWindow, SearchView): invalid nullptr parameter
Error “Error: Internal Server Error”
Error “Error: Internal Server Error”
Error “Error: Internal Server Error”
Error “Error: Internal Server Error”
…
I forgot to mention that searching works and can list the search results but I can’t do anything more.
If you guys want, I can build an older version.
Is the older version able to handle youtube algorithm? That is the other problem as youtube changes its algorithm all the time.
Maybe you can do some research about this. I gave the link to the project in the original post.
You might as well look at other powerpc distros if they use minitube and if so, which version.
